Increase Your Vitamin Intake to Help with Burn Healing There are a number of different things that you can do whenever you burn yourself, and some of them may surprise you. A good example of this is the fact that whenever you do burn yourself, you should increase your vitamin intake almost immediately. There are a number of reasons why this is the case, and some specific vitamins may be able to help you more than others. Whenever you do happen to have a burn, here are some vitamins that you should be taking, along with some nutrients that can assist in helping the healing process to move along quickly. Whenever you burn yourself, or for that matter whenever you are perfectly healthy, you should make sure that you are taking the basic vitamins on a regular basis. Vitamins B., C., D. and E. are all vitamins that the body tends to lack and can assist us in staying as healthy as possible. The same is also true with a number of different nutrients that we should be taking regularly, such as zinc. We all tend to be fairly deficient in zinc, and it can cause a number of different issues. Whenever we are healing, however, it is especially important that we take this vitamin regularly. Another thing that we can do which can help with the healing process is to apply some vitamin E directly to the area. Vitamin E is well-known for its healing properties, especially where the skin is concerned. Simply break open a couple of capsules and create a small compress of vitamin E that can be applied to the area of the burn. This will typically be enough to get the healing started and it also has a soothing effect which can make it more bearable, especially whenever the burn is rather painful. One other thing that you would want to make sure that you are doing is drinking plenty of water. Dehydration is often an issue, regardless of whether we have a burn or not. In the case of a sunburn, however, it does tend to pull water out of the body and dehydration can be a secondary issue that we need to deal with. If you drink water regularly, along with taking a pinch of natural sea salt from time to time, you stand a better chance of giving your body the opportunity to do its own healing work and to overcome the burn that you are experiencing.
